# Automobile Racing Club of Florida: full brief This file expands https://arcf.net/llms.txt for agents that want more context in one fetch. ## Organization The Automobile Racing Club of Florida (ARCF) was created in 1955–56 by Sebring promoter Alec Ulmann after the American Automobile Association withdrew from sanctioning international-style racing. The FIA granted Ulmann a direct sanction and approved ARCF as the new sanctioning body so the 12 Hours of Sebring could remain a World Championship event. ARCF later went dormant for about fifty years. In spring 2023 Sebring native Ford Heacock III revived it, with guidance from former promoter Charles Mendez (1978 race winner) and historian Doug Morton. Today ARCF is the membership division of the Sebring Hall of Fame, a non-profit. The club hosts social and educational events and is exploring a future Sebring Race Museum. - Legal / public name: Automobile Racing Club of Florida - Short name: ARCF - Website: https://arcf.net - Founded: 1956 (revived 2023) - Place: Sebring, Florida, United States - President: Ford Heacock III, ford3@arcf.net - Membership Director: Laura Andrews, LauraAndrews101@Gmail.com - Mail: P.O. Alec Ulmann staged the first race there on December 31, 1950 — the Sam Collier Memorial Grand Prix of Endurance, a six-hour event won on index by a Crosley Hotshot. The first official 12 Hours of Sebring ran March 15, 1952. In 1953 the race joined the FIA World Sports Car Championship. ## Public routes | Path | Purpose | | --- | --- | | / | Home | | /about | Heritage history | | /membership | Join / renew | | /events | Calendar + archive | | /stories | Historical PDF articles | | /photos | 2025 gallery | | /photos/2024 | 2024 gallery | | /newsletter | Starting Line PDFs | | /roster | Member names | | /contact | People and address | | /sebring-75th | 2025 anniversary archive | | /lemans | 2025 watch-party archive | | /mazda | 2025 Mazda guest archive | | /cadillac-v-club | 2025 Cadillac V-Club archive | | /thank-you | Donation thanks (Stripe email is the receipt) | | /success | Membership thanks | | /lemans-confirmation | Past watch-party confirmation | ## Membership benefits (as published) - Sebring Hall of Fame reception and member seminars - ARCF social at the north-paddock compound - Welcome sites / spectator camps, annual membership pin - Newsletter and priority email updates - Support for a future Sebring Race Museum ## Events status (site policy) Past event pages are retained on purpose.
