People come to the 12 Hours of Sebring to camp, walk the circuit, and watch from the mounds and grandstands. Sebring International Raceway publishes the ticket rules, the camping rules, and the schedule. Tickets are sold on sebringraceway.com, which is also where the next race date is posted.

The club notes at the end come from the ARCF membership page. Race admission is a track ticket. An ARCF pin is for club gatherings.

Camping

The raceway’s FAQ says tent camping is included with a ticket, and there is no separate charge to bring a tent. An RV parking pass is extra and does not include gate admission. Every vehicle needs a parking pass, including a motorcycle or a trailer you are towing.

Complimentary car parking is near Gate 5, off Carroll Shelby Road, a short walk from the paddock. Inside the gates, general parking is first come, first served. RV or tent camping outside the gates is limited to a lot at Carroll Shelby Road and Madrid. The FAQ lists that lot at $50. Gate admission is not included with a parking pass.

Reserved trackside space can be renewed the next year by the person who held it. The FAQ names two reserved RV areas, Crosley Valley and Flightline, with power, water, and CCTV hookups. Those spaces have to be reserved ahead for the 12 Hours. CCTV is only at events that are broadcast live.

The fan policies say the raceway can ask campers to pull in so more people fit, and early arrivals may not rope off space for people coming later. Campers at the 12 Hours may stay until noon the day after the race. Viewing platforms may not rise more than six feet. Scissor lifts, bucket trucks, and boom lifts are prohibited. Charcoal and gas grills are allowed. Wood fires, fire pits, fireworks, and firearms are not.

Showers are in Green Park, on the Midway, and in the Paddock. The Beverage Barn on the Midway sells Yuengling by the case. You may bring your own food and drinks.

Where to watch

The FAQ places public grandstands at Turn 3 on the driver’s right, at Turn 7 on both sides of the track, and at Turn 17 on the driver’s left. Viewing mounds sit near most corners. Chairs and umbrellas left on a mound are not allowed. Grandstands in the Corvette and Porsche corrals are reserved. The other grandstands are open to ticket holders.

The raceway’s where to watch page describes the Hairpin at Turn 7, with grandstands, a mound, and a jumbotron, as cars brake for the tightest corner. Turn 3 is by the flagpole in Hendricks Field, with a jumbotron across the track. If you do not have a Hendricks Field car pass, that grandstand is a walk from Green Park. Turn 17 is the last corner, after the fastest part of the lap. The Fan Zone is on Midway Drive, with vendors and the CoCo Deck bar.

A fan walk runs trackside around much of the circuit. The competitor paddock is open to ticket holders during on-track activity on all four days and is closed at night. Golf carts are not allowed in that paddock. Fan grid walks are open to ticketed guests on Friday afternoon before the Alan Jay 120 and on Saturday morning before the 12 Hours.

The Gurney Terrace is an open-air area on the east end of the second level of the pit building, looking over pit road and the front straight. The FAQ says a Gurney Terrace ticket includes a four-day ticket and a Midway parking pass, and guests may bring their own food and chairs. Suites, the Fangio Terrace, and the Gurney Terrace require the right ticket. Wheelchair viewing platforms are at Turn 3 and Turn 17. An elevator serves the pit building, and the Green Park bridge has lifts.

You can hear practice, qualifying, and the races on 88.7 FM. The FAQ also lists the 12 Hours on WWOJ 99.1 FM, and points to the IMSA app for live race information. There is no spectator Wi-Fi. The FAQ says most cellular service works on the property.

Getting there

The raceway’s directions page gives the GPS address as 113 Midway Drive, Sebring, Florida 33870. Ticket questions go to 863.655.1442. Buy tickets online and keep them on your phone. The FAQ says tickets are digital only. If you need help on site, the ticket trailer is near Gate 3.

The FAQ describes four-day tickets (Wednesday through Saturday), two-day tickets (Friday and Saturday), and Saturday-only tickets. A two-day ticket can enter after 8 p.m. on Thursday. Children 12 and under are free with a paying adult for general admission. Suites and other hospitality areas need a ticket for every person, including children. A golf cart needs its own pass. The FAQ lists that pass at $150, sold at the Gate 3 ticket window. Bicycles are allowed if the rider wears a helmet.

On airports, the FAQ says Punta Gorda is the closest, with primary service from Allegiant. Orlando, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers are about two hours away. Sarasota-Bradenton is about 90 minutes. Miami is about a three-hour drive. Hotel rooms within 60 miles are often gone well ahead of the race. The FAQ suggests Winter Haven, Lake Wales, or Okeechobee, each a little more than an hour away, and names the Seven Hotel at the raceway, 863.655.7200.

The FAQ says you get a wristband when you first enter and show it to come back in, without scanning the ticket on the way out. The fan policies page says to have the ticket scanned out if you mean to return. Follow the instruction at the gate that weekend.

What to bring

The FAQ, answering a question about March weather, says days and nights can be hot or cool and damp, and tells guests to bring jackets, umbrellas, sunscreen, hats, and boots. The race runs in the rain. Lightning or severe weather stops it until it can restart. For emergency texts, the FAQ says to text Sebring12 to 888-777.

Bring the phone that holds your ticket, a chair if you want one on a mound, and food if you would rather not buy it there. Pets are not allowed. Drones are not allowed unless the raceway and the FAA have authorized one. Do not bring wood to burn.

ARCF members

The membership page lists a Sebring Hall of Fame reception in the Gallery of Legends, an ARCF social at the club compound in the north paddock, and welcome sites around the circuit. The annual pin admits you to ARCF events. The club posts gathering dates on the events page when it has them.
