1962 at Webster Turn

A 1962 photograph at the exit of Webster Turn shows Steve McQueen and John Colgate in an Austin-Healey Sprite, Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez in a Ferrari Dino, and a Porsche Abarth behind them.

Sebring 1962: One of the many favorite photos I have in my collection. From my favorite section of the circuit, the exit of Webster Turn. A cool Fairchild C-82 Packet in the background. Exiting Webster is the #72 Austin Healey Sprite that was driven by Steve McQueen and John Colgate. In the middle is the #34 Ferrari Dino 246, piloted by Hermanos Rodriguez...Pedro and Ricardo. Following is the #49 Porsche Abarth 356B with Paul Straehle and Edgar Barth as drivers. The Porsche would finish 9th overall and the other 2 would dnf. Sadly, this would be Ricardo's last Sebring race. McQueen would come back in 1970 and finish 2nd overall in one of the best races ever.
