1963 Cobra Number 15: Dan Gurney and Phil Hill
Six Cobras came to Sebring in 1963. Dan Gurney and Phil Hill finished 29th overall and 5th in class in the number 15 car entered by Shelby American.
Sebring 1963: The year the Cobras showed up at Sebring. They were fast but hadn't been tested on a tough circuit like Sebring. Six Cobras were entered and Shelby American officially entered 3 of them and the #15, piloted by Dan Gurney and Phil Hill, finished 29th overall and 5th in class. The Ed Hugus entered Cobra finished 11th overall and 1st in class. They were the only Cobras to officially finish the race in 1963.
