1955 Jaguar XK140: Dick Thompson and Charles Wallace

Charles Wallace and Dr. Dick Thompson drove Jack Pry's Jaguar XK140 at Sebring in 1955. They finished 10th overall and 2nd in class, behind the winning Jaguar D-Type.

1955 Sebring: a record number of entries showed up to race that year including this Jack Pry entered Jaguar XK140 that Charles Wallace and Dr. Dick Thompson would drive. While Wallace had driven every 12 Hours to date, this was Thompson's 1st time back since the inaugural 12 Hours in 1952. They would pilot the Jag to 10th overall and 2nd in class, behind the overall winning Jag D. What I love about these shots are the pits in the background! From the rudimentary wood structure to the single light bulb hanging above each pit area.
